“I remember shivering in the lake at age 9, swimming in the downpouring rain at Camp Sloane. My swimming instructor there both motivated and inspired me. 20 years later, she turned out to be my first Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.” This week we’re shedding a light on Red Cross Instructor Pam Kolber-Zicca who’s been teaching Water Safety courses with us for over 37 years .🎉 Pam is passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities overcome their fear of swimming, from babies as young as 6 months to adults 80 years and older. Pam also works with special needs children and adults and has previously coached a Special Olympics team. Becoming a Red Cross Instructor started as a way for Pam to pay her way through college and has become a lifelong fulfilling career. Today, Pam carries on the legacy of her late swim instructor who first inspired her, and she continues to inspire many of her own students who grow up to teach alongside her. ❤️ #InstructorSpotlight - Montrose NY
